Футболистка сборной США Алекс Морган перешла в женскую команду «Тоттенхэм Хотспур», сообщается на официальном сайте английского клуба.
«Мы рады сообщить, что достигли договоренности о подписании контракта с двукратной победительницей чемпионата мира по футболу среди женщин Алекс Морган. Нападающая сборной США присоединится к нам в сезоне-2020/2021 и будет носить футболку под номером 13», — говорится в сообщении.
Морган является двукратной чемпионкой мира в составе сборной США. Планетарное первенство в составе американской команды она выигрывала в 2015 и 2019 годах. За сборную США сыграла 169 матчей и забила 107 мячей. В составе французского «Лиона» — победительница Лиги чемпионов сезона-2016/2017. Выступала за американские «Вест-Кост», «Калифорнию Сторм», «Пали Блюз», «Вестерн Нью-Йорк Флеш», «Сиэтл Саундерс Уимен», «Портланд Торнс» и «Орландо Прайд».
Алекс стала первой женщиной, попавшей на обложку футбольного симулятора FIFA. Также она была неоднократно признана самой красивой футболисткой мира по версиям различных изданий.

This year has had the highest of highs but along with that comes challenges and sometimes even falling short of my goals I set for myself in 2019. I’m disappointed I won’t be able to compete with the Pride for the remainder of 2019 due to a knee injury I’ve been managing since the World Cup, and that I can’t be there to help my teammates and my club have more success. Thank you fans, friends, teammates, and teams for all your support. I have already started physical therapy in LA and am eager to get back on the field doing what I love.
